NC OneMap assists data providers in the construction of useful metadata documentation for common geospatial datasets and supports the Federal Geographic Data Committee’s (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata.

The resources below will help you create informative and relevant metadata. Good metadata supports your organization and helps everyone who may use your data.

Here is the link to all the metadata for the spatial information that is available from the NC OneMap data download page. Metadata is available as TXT, XML, and HTML (outline and FAQ style). The metadata records are organized by dataset abbreviation. Please use the table on the data download page for the full dataset names.

Map Service Server Change

The map services on the NC OneMap server 204.211.239.202 have been migrated to a new server. Please update your applications/links to point to this new address: 149.168.87.13. Map services on the old server will be accessible until Friday, August 20. The URLs in the NC OneMap data catalog have already been updated (www.nconemap.com/datacatalog) to reflect this change. If you have questions about this please send us an email.
